What are the production methods of dust-free paper?

Publish Time: 2023-09-07
Airlaid Paper is divided into M-3, 0604, 0606, 0609, 0709 and other series, also called Airlaidpulpnonwovens, which is a kind of drylaid nonwovens. Dust-free paper has unique physical properties, such as high elasticity, softness, excellent hand feeling and drape, high water absorption and good water retention performance, and is widely used in hygiene care products, special medical products, industrial wipes and other fields.
From its English name, we can see two main characteristics of dust-free paper: one is that the raw material is wood pulp fiber; the other is that it adopts air-laid technology. The production process of nonwovens is mainly two processes of web forming and reinforcement. The production of dry-laid papermaking nonwovens mainly adopts two methods: chemical bonding and thermal bonding.
Chemical bonding
The chemical bonding method uses 100% wood pulp fiber as a raw material, and after the fiber is air-laid into a single fiber state, the water-soluble adhesive is sprayed on the surface of the fiber web by spraying, and then baked and reinforced into a cloth. The main uses of the products are industrial wipes, feminine hygiene products, baby wipes, tablecloths, wet wipes and cooking cloths, etc.
Thermal bonding
The thermal bonding method is to mix hot-melt fibers into the wood pulp fibers, and the mixing ratio is generally not less than 15%. After air-laid, the low-melting-point fibers in the fiber web are melted by hot air or hot rolling, and the fiber web is reinforced into a cloth. . Thermally bonded non-woven fabrics do not contain chemical adhesives, and the product has better bulkiness and hygroscopicity. It is mainly used as the absorbent core of high-absorbency sanitary products, thin sanitary napkins, etc. Based on this purpose, some production lines are equipped with a super absorbent resin (SAP) powder application device. Due to the addition of polymer water-absorbing resin, water can be turned into a solid after absorbing water, which greatly improves its water-absorbing capacity.
